Jeungdo



This past summer my family and I went on a trek to Jeungdo (전라남도증도), an island in South Jeolla area off the western drift South Korea. Jeungdo is an assigned "moderate city" because of its laid-back cultivating way of life and little populace. It is likewise perceived by UNESCO as an extraordinary zone for biodiversity protection on account of the plenitude of salt marshes in the
territory. By and large, Jeungdo is a peaceful, beguiling island that offers a special Korean farmland experience.

For me, the starting fascination was the Taepyeong Salt Farm (태평염전), which is the biggest sun-dried salt ranch in Korea:Exploring the island more, you will get yourself encompassed by salt marshes, a.k.a. mudflats that gives the spot an alternate vibe from the typically sloping Korean terrain:The salt marshes make an immaculate home for creatures, for example, crab and mudskippers.
